About a month ago some 300 Tahiti Village employees were laid off. This happened at the same time Consolidated Resorts filed for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Las Vegas. Consolidate Resorts and their 13 companies (resorts) along with 100 former employees of Tahiti Village showed up in court last week for a hearing. The laid off employees got no answers about their pay. The former employees are looking for their commissions and pending deals.
The next court date set for Consolidated Resorts is September 26th.
According to Consolidated Resort’s management, day to day operations continue as normal for their resorts. Their sales and pending construction projects have been put on hold. While this whole process may be a bit unsettling for timeshare owners, it may be good news for those who want to sell their Consolidated Resorts timeshare. Buyers will have to go through timeshare resales brokers like those at www.timesharelink.com. Since there are presently no ongoing sales at the resorts, buyers will be using the services of timeshare resellers.
