Timeshare Resale Pricing Trend Analysis from 2006 Through September 2009

In an effort to keep consumers and the industry abreast of timeshare resale pricing trends and to supplement our Timeshare Resale Buying Trends: A 2003-2007 Study I submit this update which shows a rebound towards higher prices.

Mean pricing for worldwide timeshare resales showed a 23.4% increase from 2006 to 2007. This happened even in the face of the impending recession that began late that year. 2008 saw a decrease of 11.2% from the banner 2007 year. Mean prices so far this year are slightly up from last year over 1%.

Mean prices overall from 2006 to through 2009 September 30 are up 10.8%.

Median pricing for worldwide timeshare resales showed a 25% increase from 2006 to 2007. 2008 saw a decrease of 20% from the previous year. Mean prices so far this year are up from last year 8.3%.

Median prices overall from 2006 to through 2009 September 30 are up 8.3%.
