Many companies in the travel, timeshare, and resort industry are allowing their members to donate their points towards the relief effort underway in Haiti. The earthquake has left untold thousands dead, and those remaining in Haiti need our help. Starwood, Marriott, Hilton, Choice Hotels, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines have all made announcements that you can donate your points or frequent flier miles towards cash credit to the Red Cross. The Red Cross is a reliable source of help for those most in need.

As other companies join in this effort, I will update this post to include them. The addition of Wyndham points would be a big help. Also, Continental Airlines and other major airlines would be great as well.
I have already been asked if this donation is tax deductible. I do not know. It would be best to ask your tax preparer that question.
